My Feet

Dancers often are ashamed of their feet, because the rugged look doesn’t fit the modern beauty standards. I have always seen the same beauty in dancer’s feet that some people see in worker’s hands. I started the photography project My Feet in May 2016 and it is ongoing. People who are participating this project are all professional dancers representing different dance genres and different nationalities. My goal is to discuss with them about their feet and capture the raw beauty behind the broken nails and chafed skin.
